Love Created Us All

Valentine’s Day is a day that I personally don’t like. It creates a time of comparison and lack. That’s one perspective that I use to have. Until I started understanding why I didn’t like the day. This mindset coaching article helps a person realize that love created us all and that Valentines Day doesn’t have to be about flowers and presents.

The first couple of years of my marriage I told my wife the truth about everything. The age old question was asked, “How do I look in this shirt?” I answered, “I don’t like the way it fits and the pattern is weird.”

Before I answered her like that I asked if she wanted the truth or what she wanted to hear. She said she wanted the truth. Since love Created is all I thought being 100% honest was what she wanted. Little did I know she really didn’t want the real truth.  I won’t even begin to understand women and I love that. It’s something that has perplexed men since the beginning of time.

She doesn’t want the truth, but she’ll tell you that she does. The proof is that she kept buying different cloths. I couldn’t understand why she kept buying new clothes. A friend of mine clued me on that she valued my opinion and the way to make her stop buying the clothes would be to agree she looks good. That seems backward to me. Being truthful no matter what is in my DNA.

Needless to say, I caved. She looks amazing all the time to me and her sense of style is incredible. She always looks like she walked right out of a magazine. Love Created is all and since we celebrate love on Valentine’s Day it’s fitting to remind people that showing love doesn’t have to come from flowers and candy.

Do something different and show it in a different way. For example, maybe trying making them something from scratch. Pinterest is a great platform for that. There are many talented people out there and they’ve shared their journey. Take a page out their book and be vulnerable enough to show the one you love most that you care.

For me, my wife loves flowers so it’s a no brainer for me to get her flowers. The real difference though is in the card. Since I write in my journal on a daily basis it’s very easy for me to put into words how I feel. Meanwhile, there are many men (and women) out there who can’t. Daily practice is key. Write down what you think and feel on a daily basis and your mindset will start to change.

Love Created Us All because at the moment of conception there had to be a passion first. Good, bad or otherwise passion is discretionary. For this article, I’m choosing to stay naive and think that love Created Us All and there is no other way. Putting on the blinders to that is my choice.

My ego (aka analytical mind) is creating a story that people will read this and think of the “oops babies” or babies that come from rape victims. Were those lives created by love? I don’t know, but they are created for a purpose that no one knows about. Only that person can choose what they want out of life.

This mindset coaching article comes straight from my heart and trust that it touches yours to realize that we don’t live once. We live every day and we die once. Take each breath in and be grateful for it. Love and happiness are what I want for you each and every day of your life. Above all, you are enough.

To my wife: I love you, Jessica. Thank you for all that you are and thank you for all that you do. Without you, I wouldn’t be able to do anything that I do. I love you beeb.

It’s time to love yourself by getting your WOD done and being grateful for the ability to do so. Because your time is worth it and so you are.

Have Fun!
